“Every Champion was once a contender that refuse to Give-up”
As endeavour to celebrate the sportsmanship spirit in our students J.K.P.S organised it's Annual Sports Day for classes IV to VIII on 18th and 19th January 2020, with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The programme began when our Principal and Headmistress welcomed the esteemed gathering and graced the event with their presence. The school Principal Mr. George Mathew declared the event open. Our Headmistress emphasized on the importance of sports in a child's life and encouraged the students to perform their best. This was entailed by the races wherein the participants participated with full verve and vigour. It was a delight to see the excitement with which the students challenged themselves to attempt a variety of races such as garland race, flag race, wheel and barrow race, lehenga race, ready to go race, flat races etc.
It was a day filled with fervour and exhilaration, amidst thrills and cheers. The day concluded by highlighting the importance of never giving up in our life. The principal gave away the medals and certificates to all the winners. The winners were applauded with medals and certificates. The students who did not receive any position were encouraged to practice more as it's not about being the best but being better than who you were yesterday! Winners are not the people who never fail but the people who never quit.
Many students participated in various track and field events. Students participated enthusiastically in all the track and field events like the flat race, skipping race for girls, the lemon and spoon race, the sack race , the three legged race etc. The school ground reverberated with loud cheers from the spectators. He also spoke about the importance of games and sports in one's life.
